Let's talk about the Stranger Things Season 3. SPOILERS AHEAD.
PRO: The father/daughter relationship between Hopper and Eleven CONTINUES to be wonderful. Love the humor of her making out with Mike and him struggling to have 'the talk' with them. It was very funny!
CON: The underground zombie collective. This was a little too ridiculous for me. All of these possessed zombie-like humans coming together. Felt like a waste for Dacre's character, Billy.
PRO: The Performances. Again. Are always the strongest part about this show. This was Joyce's best season in my opinion. LOVE Uma and Ethan's daughter. She was so good! And Erica Sinclair is a vision. Also, always love Cary Elwes.
CON: it all just seemed a little too easy. These kids should have NEVER gotten as far into the secret facility as they did and the security on these HIGHLY CLASSIFIED Glowing green materials seemed pretty damn lazy.
PRO: The new characters and Nancy's strong subplot. She'd always been somewhat of a 'support' to the men on the show, but this season, she's the brains and the drive. I really liked that. Loved Sadie taking Eleven under her wing and Hopper and Joyce figuring out their complicated relationship. SUPER supportive of Maya and Joe's connection on the show and it's platonic reveal.
CON: Wasn't crazy about the role Mrs. Wheeler played in this season. I mean, I'm happy that she didn't cheat on her husband and everything - but it seemed like a lot of time spent on her development for a weak pay off in her involvement. She's a fantastic actress and hopefully they do more with her in the future.
PRO: The nostalgia is BACK! It's not 100%, but what they established so beautifully in season 1 was lost in season 2. I felt, with the mall and fashion, we returned to our nostalgic foundation.
CON: The men in the newspaper room were too over the top. It was cartoonish.
Overall it’s better than the second season, still not quite as ON as the first. And Hopper is TOTES alive and in that prison, referred to as the "American"
